I learned how to pack wine today :). We found a fun one as a gift and wanted to take it to the US, but then remembered the whole "no liquids" crap. So we super wrapped them, threw them in with the check in luggage, and called it good :). I let you know how it goes, but with the following layers, even if it breaks, I am sure we are fine: freezer bag, lots of tape, saran wrap, lots of tape, freezer bag, lots of tape, bubble wrap, lots of tape, saran wrap, two thick book store bags, and a final coating of, yes you guessed it, lots of tape :).
