I almost forgot the lynxes! I think they are so cute :). Here is one getting ready to attack a bird (on outside of fence, thank goodness). But it did the same cute little butt wiggle Bastet does before she attacks :). I was not, however, allowed to take a lynx home :(. Stupid zoo, stupid rules, stupid stupid :(.
Usually during the summer months here in the land of polar bears and porn, there is a great deal of grilling or bbqing done. Everywhere. On every available surface. With all kinds of meat and veggies and meat alternatives being burnt to a crisp on one-time-use-only grills.
(But don't worry potential travellers, the porn can be paused and the polar bears just watch from the bushes while any grill activities take place).
But lately there have been some restrictions (gasp!) on where exactly one may light one's fire, so to speak (obvious giggle for "subtle" reference back to the porn). Hence the signs such as this one in the picture.
(If you look real close you might see a polar bear there in the background, they can be shy).
My colleagues decided to put some uneaten apples in the break room to good use. They made apple pie with a huge knife, the bare essentials, drinking glasses and microwave. I missed it cause of my other job, but I heard it was good :). I bow to the masters!
It was huge! A random nest on top of one of the buildings at the zoo. I think it is a crane. You can see part of the bird too. And I thought my little pippisar had to work at the nest making!
As some of you have guessed, we were at the zoo this weekend. Here are some pictures of the cuteness :)

Like when you're a moose (not elk god fucking damn it to hell) and you're chewing on a twig in front of strangers at the least possible flattering angle.
The poor thing did not go to the appropriate, corresponding house. This bird house clearly says "owl". Identity crisis of monumental proportions. Just hope the little bugger survives the humiliation and teasing from the other birds.
People will always try to make signs naughty no matter which country it is. Here they have scratched away the first two letters to make it, basically "ass path". Sadly, I'm betting it wasn't just the teenagers either.
Yuki has gone to stay with Jens for a bit. And she is so much happier there! The moment she figured out no other cats were there, she became queen :)
While we were on our Konstrunda, we drove past this awesome gas station. The signs, pumps, and even the Coke machine were all classics from back in the day USA. So cool!
Every Easter weekend, artists all over Skåne open their homes or studios. I have gone with Jens family every year since I moved here except one, and I got to join this year too. It was very nice and the first place had this great manor house. I could totally live here. You know, if I had to ;)
For Jens birthday, he, Uffe and I went out to eat at an Austrian restaurant. We ordered the meat platter for two people and holy crap! It would have fed four! Tons of tasty meat and, of course, a tiny pile of tators and nary a veggie in sight. Very man food vibe :).
Someone decided to spice up a couple of electrical boxes (think that's what they are...not sure) in town. With kitties :)
The pet store had a bunch of baby chickens on display for Easter. They were so cute!!! And because I am there all the time and everyone there knows me, I got to hold one :)
The place we had our marathon Lord of the Rings watching was home to an adorable, cuddly kitty that turned out to look exactly like my bonus kitty, Yuki. Even the eyes were the same shade of green! But the kitty was too busy napping and/or closing eyes in "I'm getting petted" bliss for me to snap a photo of them :)
The Tolkien group I am in had a Lord of the Rings marathon :). Three extended versions on Friday night and Saturday morning/afternoon. I took a picture of the food cause it was really cool! Fondue in a pumpkin. I would have never thought of that!
See look how happy she is napping on that pile of crap on the sofa! I couldn't just take that away from her right? What kind of loving pet owner would I be then? I might get reported for animal abuse if I took her pile away. And I shouldn't touch any of the others either. Just in case she wants to sleep there too :).
I meet this kitty a lot outside my place. She lives the next stairwell over. She is always super cuddly :)
I finally have a dryer!!!!!! I am so happy :). And I installed it all myself, thank you very much. For the US people its probably weird having the laundry stuff in the bathroom. But hey, in Italy and Spain they have it in the kitchen. Even weirder no?
The first is the crocus flowers that jumped up everywhere. The second is the first trip to Bjarred to get ice cream :). So yummy! So yummy in fact that I forgot to take a picture of my ice cream for the blog and had to settle for a picture of the kiosk :(. Still, no matter, it was a great warm Saturday with ice cream :).
