I have actually never once in my life had the desire to play the guitar. Violin is the closest that I've ever wanted to try, when it comes to stringed instruments. But if I had a Hello Kitty guitar, I might change my mind :). Emma and I saw this one when we were buying reeds and some music for my clarinet that came in the mail this week :). Can't wait to get playing! The Hello Kitty guitar dream will have to wait :(.
All of the little chickens were out of the nest today :). They seem healthy and happy. They certainly beg for food a lot. And loudly. But so cute :).
Well, my horny birds have done it again. Six times to be exact, given the six baby birds in the nest. I swear, the damn thing wasn't even up for a day and there were five eggs in there. The horny little fuckers have been on a forced break from making babies until now. Didn't take them long to catch up! And today three of the six little chickens were out and flapping about. So cute :). I love it when they are little balls of fluff :).
My friend's daughter became allergic to cats so they had to find a new home for the kitty :(. After some time at friend's parents and a lady in Malmö she is here at my place for awhile :). But she has been hiding and hissing and growling at my kitties. She was out today though, in the kitchen, and I got to pet her. So we give it some time and see how it goes. But she still needs a permanent home if anyone is interested. Preferably somewhere where she can be outside as well as inside. Given the growling and hissing at my kitties, I would guess a cat free home where she can rule as unquestioned queen would be best :).
You all know I mean the clock :). Sorry Ebba! But I am very happy with how it turned out. Just have to hang it and wind it up to see if it still works after the trip here in my carry on bag!
Helped two friends move this weekend and their new house was wonderful! My favorite part was this tiny little gate in the hedge for future kids. It leads to a play ground. So super cute!
Or painting the clock white :). I really like the clock but my apartment really isn't full of wood colored things. I don't like wood colored things :(. I checked with a clock person and they said the clock has already been refinished so painting it wouldn't hurt it. So now I paint it white to go with all my other things :). White is best because my walls are strong colors and it will look nice against the green.
Jimmie got me this button while he was in Göteborg this weekend. He knows me oh so very well. This really is my motto :)
Markus bought this interesting product. It is self-heating hot chocolate in a can. I was sceptical but it was actually not too bad. Apart from the scary green chemicals in the bottom part that heat it up. I think Erika and I stick to the crocheting...
Erika and I were crocheting today and I got to meet the kitties too :). First they were napping together and then one was sleeping on the sofa. They are much more tame now. They let me pet them!
Actual green cheese! Not just cheese with little bits of green in it, but actual green cheese! Ewwwww!
After much cursing and some throwing of things, I have finished my little bird! I think it turned out kinda cute, if I do say so myself :).
Maybe one day, if I get really good at amigurumi I can make these tiny ones too :). I really want the tiny sock monkey!
Ah, life as a teacher. I use these cards for almost everything in my home language groups. Must be why I felt the crazy need to take a picture of them. That and the voices told me to of course.
Not sure yet after all the cursing...but Erika showed me this and I too thought it looked fun. It's a Japanese type of crocheting called amigurumi. You make super cute little animals :). I am already trying to crochet a blanket but now time out for amigurumi! Erika and I will do some on Sunday but I kind of wanted to practice. So here I have the start of two birds: one big blue one and one small pink one. Need to get stuffing before I see how they turned out, but so far it looks good :). After one scary failed attempt in pink and many many bad words of course...
