Impatience is a virtue

I was thinking I would spray paint my project but I started to get impatient and figured I could paint it the other way too. It might never stop snowing and raining enough to be able to go outside and spray paint. And I want to see what it will look like :). Impatient :).

Moment of truth

I am glueing the mirror to the sticks, the moment of truth! Once I laid down all the glue I remembered I need to spray paint...but I am deciding now that it was good to glue the mirror down first to make sure it worked. Yeah. That's it. Sure. I can cover it to spray paint later. That was the plan all along. Yep.

It's a zoo!

I finally got the magnets stuck to my slaughtered animals! Which led to slaughtered animals stuck to the fridge! Very exciting :). Some of you may remember the blog post ages ago concerning the slaughter. Well here is the final result. I think they are great! I am tempted to go back for the pack of dinosaurs as well....

Ninja star progress

All the sticks are clued down! Next is spray paint! Soooo fun :)

Ninja star?

Nope. I am making my very own sunburst mirror out of plant sticks, cardboard, and a cheap round mirror. I wanted one for over my bed but even the small ones are insanely expensive. And for over the bed I need a bigger one. This one will probably only end up costing me a couple hundred crowns. I think I am off to a pretty good start, but I let you know how it ends :). Need to get the kitties to stop trying to play with the sticks.

Our blanket

When I went to wash my blanket I got two furious glares from my little babies. Needless to say I showed them who is the boss in this crackpot little family. Yeah. I ended up washing that blanket like three days later....after they had moved....at least I know I am not the boss right?

Hello Stockholm

Since the one who makes me smile a lot lives in Stockholm I have, of course, been spending a lot of time in Stockholm.  It really is a pretty city. This is my favorite part, Gamla Stan.

Best invention

Since I have gotten a few people addicted to Hand and Foot (including the one who makes me smile a lot) there has been a lot of card shuffling in my life. I finally broke down and got a card shuffler. And it is great :). Still do some the old fashioned way, but this makes it easier on the hands!

I am a pillow

I made a pretty good pillow for Mia for an hour or so :). I got to feed her too, it was so cute :).

Real Chinese food

Baby Mia had her one month old day and some of us were invited to dinner to celebrate. It was really nice and I got to meet Xue's mom and grandma. It was kind of cool that there were four generations there all together. And they made a huge feast of wonderful food for us. It was so yummy!!! And I am getting better at the whole chopstick thing :). Have not flung food on anyone recently. That I know of....

Hot chocolate mountain

Not sure if it was possible, but I did manage to get the whipped cream in. But I had to eat the marshmallows right away. Darn :).

Pretty bedspread

I finally got to use one of my vintage finds. I fell in love with these bright chenille bedspreads from like the fifties and sixties. I have this one with two peacocks and another one with lots of bright flowers. I love them :).

Kitty Camp

The one who makes me smile a lot was visiting last weekend so the kitties had to go away to Kitty Camp at Uncle Jimmie's house. The one who makes me smile a lot is allergic to my babies :(. They totally had fun invading Siri's territory though lol.
