Dried testicles?

Nope. Appareny they are fried onion balls. My first Indian food
experience was last weekend at the party we had for our English class
being mostly over and lots of people graduating :). I will join them
soon I hope, but I skip the dried testicle bit of the celebration...

Person or furniture?

Bastet seems to have decided I was part of the couch. She just moseyed
on up and took her sweet time getting settled on my chest right under
my chin. And if I was watching a movie, well that is just too bad for
me huh? Kitty so cute :)

100%

This is what my desk will look like when I work 100%. My desk has
about half that much on it...but that is cause I work 50%. Can't say I
am looking forward all that much to a full desk but hey that's life no?

New Orchid :)

A new addition to my giant orchid family :). I don't have this kind
yet and it was on sale and it was huge and it was so pretty :).

Response to the weather

Roomie's response to the several inches of snow that greeted us
yesterday morning. The magnets are for practicing his Swedish :).

New sofa!!!

My new (old) "farmorssoffa". And lots of room for our little "family".
Me, Roomie, Bastet, and Sekhmet (under sofa cause it's safe there).
One day I am going to re-cover it in some wacky fabric :). But for now
we have seating!

Roomie Arrival

My new roomie arrived a couple days ago. Had to have a fun photo in
front of a Swedish land mark to mark the occasion. Well, lacking
impressive historic landmarks we went for Pressbyrån. Hey, it was
there! Anyway, so far so good with having a roomie. And the kitties
approve so all is well with the world :)

Yikes!!!

Stumbled across this one from when my brother was here in September.
It was at an international fair or day in Malmö. This was the British
tea pots and cups tent. Many many scary flowers. I find it creepy but
hey, one man's trash is another man's treasure right?

Burger Art

After our adventure in Malmö we went to Skrylle to fika or eat. I got
a regular old hamburger but it was super fun cause they made into a
sculpture :). Pretty :). And tasty!

Everything in stages

Although I am sure Danish isjust hard for me. Period. For the English
speakers the titles are, from left to right: Danish is not so
difficult, Danish is a little difficult, Danish is difficult. Levels
1-3 from left to right. You could also say hard instead of difficult.
I learned Swedish. I think I stick with that. :)

Don't judge a book by it's cover...

...well...ok go ahead. We found this one at the book store today while
exploring Malmö. And well the cover really says it all. She even has a
nice strong man to help her hold that flag up. What a lucky gal ;)

Bananas!!!

Roomie, Jens and I went out for Chinese food and then we had fried
bananas for dessert :). So yummy! And then ironically enough we
watched the documentary Bananas. It was a banana evening!

Siri in the hammock!

Siri and Jimmie visiting my new place. Siri liked the hammock :). Then
she attacked Sekhmet and all was right with the world :). The hammock
is there until I can afford a new sofa :). Contributions
welcome...unless you like the hammock and then we might have a
problem...

A thing for sinks

Sekhmet likes sinks right after moving. Apparently. If you look at the
first blog posts you see one of Sekhmet right after we move into our
old place. And she is in the sink. And now into the new place and
where do I find her...in the sink!!! What a cute kitty :)

Nemesis!

The enemy!!! I am giving up Coke for New Year's. Man it is difficult.
And I would like to point out that I am not giving up sugar. Dear god
I would die. But I am giving up Coke so I will have way less sugar
cause soda is worst when it comes to that. So if you see me drinking a
soda feel free to bitch slap me and take it away. If you see me eating
chocolate it means I am having Coke cravings and satisfying them with
a piece of chocolate which has way less sugar btw. If you try to take
my cocolate I hurt you. Badly. Lots. Have a nice day :).

Ahhhh so cute!

Kitties got to stay with Jens while I moved and I have a feeling I
will get them back all spoiled and cuddled...

Moving Day

Well it was finally moving day today. Very stressed. Very little
sleep. But lots of wonderful help from wonderful friends made
everything go very smoothly. Little tight on the deadline time but I
think that is always the case when you have to leave one place and get
a new one all in one day.

Anyway. To lighten the mood I am including a picture of what we found
when we moved the tv furniture. My cats love playing with hair bands
and now I discovered where they all went!!! I thought I was going
nuts buying new ones all the time cause I thought I just lost them.
But there they were. I think all together there were like 20 :)

Happy New Year!!!

We had a party several friends together and we each made a part of it.
I made dessert. White and dark chocolate mousse with raspberries and
what was supposed to be a little firework in chocolate on top. I think
it turned out great and everything else was super super delicious as
well!!! An excellent end to the old year and start to the new one :)
