Not in the mood

Huckleberry did not want to run around this evening. He curled into a "fuck you" ball and only came out after many long minutes. He must be tired still from yesterday's great adventure.

This year's Advent Legos

Boyfriend got a fun one this year :). A portapotty truck :). He was quite happy with how fun it was.

Freedom!

Huckleberry got to run around a whole bunch here. There was nothing for him to get stuck under. He even ignored the cats unless they sniffed him. He just went around them if they were in the way :). He was far too busy exploring.

Mouse invasion

But not in the house. In my car!!! I noticed some little bits of paper on the floor and thought it was strange. I didn't remember ripping up anything. Weird but OK. I keep a roll of paper towels for spills and such, maybe I caught it on something and some pieces fell off. Then I had a packet of mini rice cakes that I only ate half of. Folded it up and put in cup holder for later. Next day they were gone. Again weird, but OK. I could've thrown them away or eaten them and not remembered. Then I saw more bits of paper but in the back seat. That's when I started looking. The little fucker had built a nest in the trunk! A rather large two room nest in the corner! I couldn't believe it. I never heard of that happening before. He had tons of paper towel and the rice cake wrapper back there. And bird seed from the feeder. I felt a bit bad about throwing his home away, but he can't be living in my car. As far as I know he hasn't come back. Hopefully he found another spot. Just not the house either!

Gizmo cuteness

Gizmo likes the electric blanket. So now she curls up and sleeps beside me whenever it is on. And I get to pet her too!

Found it!

Was so worried I wouldn't have the best Christmas book ever in time for the last week of school. I always read the Grinch. But it was packed away, oh no! Boyfriend put on his safety vest and head lamp and dove into the pile of boxes to find it for me :).

Rare cuddles

Bastet and Gizmo cuddling on the heating blanket with me. Gizmo never cuddles with me. And Bastet never cuddles with Gizmo. Was totally weird, but nice :).

New beds

Most of the box was for the kitties it seems. Spoiled rotten. They got two new beds that can be triangle hidey holes, or unzipped and laid flat. They have that self heating stuff in them too. Gizmo went right into one, Polo in the other.

Favorite treats

Yet more stuff for kitties from the box. They love the tumbler treats from the US. So we asked Mom to get lots. 6 whole bags for the little fur balls. But I guess my Mom's cat, Maggie, got to them first. She made a hole in one bag and started chewing away. The treats were already in the box and it was night when she went after them so she scared the crap put of Mom by scuffling around in the box :). But that's why it says "Maggie did it" on the bag.

New batch of Star Wars toys

I couldn't resist the new additions to the Star Wars toys. So the kitties got a whole bunch if them in the box from Mom that came today :). They started playing right away, my adorable furry super geeks :)

Grown up points

Level: Epic. We changed the filters in the well. Finally. After a few wrong deliveries of spare parts, we were able to take care of it this weekend. Thank goodness cause I will not do that in the snow. And I was just the hold the ladder and hand stuff down person. Boyfriend did all the real work!

Still my little Hello Kitty fan

Polo proves once again that she loves Hello Kitty just as much as mommy does :).

Mass casualty weekend

We had a pretty unlucky weekend for breaking stuff. We lost two kittens, a giant snail, and Baby Jesus. Yep. It was bad.
The cats tried to murder the kittens. They lost a tail and an ear. The tail was actually fished out of the vacuum cleaner by sheer chance while we were scouring for Baby Jesus pieces.
Sluggo the Snail King was actually whipped off the front step by high winds and shattered on the terrace.
And Baby Jesus. Well. I dropped Baby Jesus. Oops, my bad. I was quite pissed at myself cause my Alessi nativity is my favourite Christmas thing :(. I have written to them asking if I could buy a replacement Baby Jesus. If the lightening doesn't come and strike me down it might be OK.
After fishing various pieces out of the vacuum, including most of Baby Jesus' head, Boyfriend proceeded to glue everyone back together. He did a very good job! Only thing is, there is still a missing piece of Baby Jesus head so now he just looks like he was shot in the back of the head, execution style.

Cool Santa

I almost took this one home with me. It's so cool! But was very expensive so it had to stay there :(.

Bath time

Polo is making sure Gizmo is nice and clean. Such a nice sister :).

First Christmas tree

So here it is. The first Christmas tree in our new house! We got a really big, really pretty tree :). Maybe a bit overly ambitious, but you only get your first Christmas together once. And I think it turned out pretty good of I do say so myself :).

We share a fence with a riding stable so we often have horses nearby :). My favorite is the dark brown one with cream colored hair.

Huckleberry is not happy when he wakes up :/. I try to handle him every evening when it is time for him to start being active. But he is not always in the mood right away.

After a while Huckleberry was done being social and decided to hide in my sweater sleeve :).

Huckleberry came out to meet some friends. He was being super cute and I finally got pictures of him from my friend. I can never take pictures while I hold him, no hands! So this was nice :).
