Back in the day Minnesota was settled by immigrants from all over Europe, but mostly people from Scandinavia, and especially Sweden. So there was a fair bit of Swedish food there. I still thought it was fun to see all the Swedish food there :). They had pepparkakor and hallongrottor. My dad also found Swedish pancake mix and gave it to me for Christmas. And of course I made all my relatives try everything!

You'll like to listen to the last chapter on the last CD of Herman Lindkvist. It is about the emigrants to the USA. But as usual he kills a few myths, and I was really surprised at the amount that actually moved back! Or for the man who bought the ticket for people back home, as long as they worked for two years with him - which wasn't a good deal at all!
Oh? You made the thin ones for them? They are really good with vanilla ice cream and strawberry jam! But... julmust? The most important thing in the world, did they have julmust!?! :D
