Ulva kvarn

We went to Ulva kvarn today. It is a really pretty place! My favorite was the glass works. Sock monkey's favorite was the old millstone.

Skokloster slott

We finally got to see the inside of Skokloster today! It was totally worth the wait!!!! We got lucky and got there in time for an English speaking tour. Very good since Mom was with :). It was so good! I highly recommend this one to anyone that gets the chance!
And of course sock monkey was there to experience Skokloster again :).

Skansen

Sock monkey was with us to Skansen, but I had way too much fun and forgot to take a picture with him there....so here he is with the guide book!

Sock monkey visited Skarholmen for brunch today. Very yummy :).

We were at Skansen for Midsummer this year. We wanted Mom to have a super Swedish Midsummer and it really was! There were tons of people though, so a bit hard to see at times. But still fun :). And of course, the rest of Skansen was fun to visit as well. Mom actually had it on the list of stuff to see that we made her make. So, two birds, one stone!

Mom had snail plucking duty when we mowed the lawn yesterday. She managed to collect 6 of these buckets. Don't worry though, they were relocated, not annihilated. We try to save them whenever we can!

I found a really fun artist/illustrator that takes pictures and descriptions of cats and dogs and makes fun illustrated portraits of them. I am going to do all my babies of course, but one at a time, and Bastet was first :). I think it turned out really great, even her white whisker is there! Next up is Polo!

Damn you Lego!

I am trying to get all the fairy tale figures out of the Disney mini figures. And it is not going well!!! I have 4 left to get and so many duplicates!!!! And I haven't had any luck the last two tries :(.

More yoga positions

Polo likes weird positions to relax and sleep in as well. Just not as close to humans as Mama Cat does.

Mord weird human furniture

Mama Cat finds the weirdest ways to sit with us. This does not look comfortable at all. Yet she sat this way for half an hour.

Excessive much?

We ordered these decals for out windows.  We get a lot of birds hitting them and dying so we are trying these. I was expecting an envelope or something. Not a huge box filled with packing air pockets! It felt a bit excessive yes....

Catnip bags

Grandma brought lots of fun stuff, including the catnip paper bags. They keep going back throughout the day to get their fix lol.

New collars

The babies got new collars! They came here with Grandma. The pink one is for Gizmo. Cause she is the smallest. The green one is for Polo. Cause she kind of is a jedi/ninja. The red one is for Bastet. Cause she is the dark side. And the brown one is for Mama Cat. Cause she's all fluffy and cute. Matching name tags as well, of course :).

Tada!

Final step was as close as we could get. Which was pretty damn close. My hair has been getting darker the older I get and it's pretty much this color. So hopefully no more super obvious roots. It was fun playing with colors but I'm way too lazy to keep up with it. Not to mention it costs a fortune :/.

Not quite....

This was step two. After the tin foil hat came off. It was actually quite fun color :).

I'm safe!

They will never find me now....not with this tin foil hat!!!! I decided to try to get my hair back to my original color, or, failing that, as close as possible. This was step one!

Snow White

That's the name of the white strawberries that started showing up :). I planted half red and half white. It's hard to tell when they are ready tho.....

Chickens!

We were at the Husby market today and there were super cute baby chickens!!! I want some super cute chickens :).

More hammock time!

I got to enjoy my hammock today :). I even used my new redneck cup holder that you stick in the ground. It was a bit cold, but that is what blankets are for :).

Bastet the White

You can really see Bastet's white whisker in this picture. It's been there for the past couple of years. It's kind of fun since she is an all black cat. It really stands out!

Ready for summer vacation

We are all prepared for summer vacation now. All manner of relaxation lounging devices have been added to the yard.

Project Dahlia

The dahlias are growing even more! I'm so excited. I was certain they weren't going to grow at all. The bulbs are all dried out and dead looking when you buy them so I was not so hopeful. But they are alive!!!!

Ordning och reda!

Finally getting the garage organized. While I was painting the door, Boyfriend was hanging up our tools. Turns out we need more hooks though, as we seem to have amassed a great number of gardening tools.

All painted!

The new door is finished! I painted the boards around it today, that was the last bit. Only a couple spots to cover up with some red paint, not too shabby :).

Sun bathing Gizmo

Gizmo likes to stretch out on her back for optimal sun ray absorption. Again, not very ladylike, but there ain't no ladies here anyway :).
